FashionEVO Show & Awards 2026 Celebrates African Fashion, Creativity and Excellence in Lusaka

The inaugural FashionEVO Show & Awards Zambia 2026 concluded on a high note, bringing together designers, creatives, industry leaders, partners, media and fashion enthusiasts for an unforgettable celebration of African fashion, innovation and excellence.

Held at Kwimbo Festival, Polo B, Lusaka Showgrounds, the FashionEVO Show & Awards marked the grand finale of the two-day FashionEVO Summit & Show Zambia 2026, transforming the runway into a platform where creativity, craftsmanship and cultural expression took centre stage.

The evening featured captivating runway presentations from talented designers whose collections reflected the diversity, ingenuity and evolving identity of African fashion. Each showcase celebrated the continent’s rich creative heritage while demonstrating the innovation and quality that continue to position African fashion on the global stage.

Beyond the runway, attendees experienced a vibrant Pop-Up Boutique, where fashion brands and creative entrepreneurs connected directly with consumers, providing a platform to showcase locally made products, engage new audiences and create valuable business opportunities.

A defining moment of the evening was the FashionEVO Awards, which honoured outstanding individuals, brands and organisations whose work continues to shape the future of the fashion and creative industries. The awards recognised excellence across a range of categories, celebrating creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership within the African fashion ecosystem.

Speaking at the close of the event, Dr Yetty Ogunnubi, Founder of FashionEVO, reflected on the significance of bringing the platform to Zambia.

“FashionEVO was created to build a platform where African creativity is celebrated, collaboration is encouraged and opportunities are created. Seeing designers, industry leaders, partners and fashion enthusiasts come together in Zambia reaffirms our belief that Africa’s creative future is driven by the incredible talent and innovation found across the continent.”

The success of the inaugural Zambia edition underscores FashionEVO’s commitment to creating meaningful platforms that extend beyond the runway. By combining industry dialogue with creative showcases, the platform continues to champion sustainable growth, encourage cross-border collaboration and strengthen Africa’s position within the global fashion industry. On the runway, the designers showcased fantastic artistic pieces including; Amarelis, Fashion Print Global, House of VO, Kasslite Designs, Kaur Fashion, Kuwala by CKC, NACK Apparel, Shakara Trybe and Tash Fash Designs.
