Djavan, a four-time Latin Grammy winner, singer-songwriter, and composer known for his unique style and captivating live performances, is considered one of the most important figures on the Brazilian music scene and will be performing at the Wiener Konzerthaus for the first time. With his distinctive voice, unmistakable sound, and insightful songwriting, Djavan has had an impressive career and gained a loyal following around the world. Djavan’s songs are inspired by the Brazilian musical tradition, combine different elements, and are known as MPB (Popular Brazilian Music).
The multi-talented artist will present his last release show with songs from his 25th studio album, “D,” and will also garnish it with the greatest hits of his almost 50-year career. Viajart brings the music of renowned Brazilian composers to Europe through exceptional musical talents who live in Austria.
This includes the repertoire of Alberto Nepomuceno, Guerra Peixe, Villa Lobos, Camargo Guarnieri, Cláudio Santoro, Edino Krieger, Henrique Oswald, and Chiquinha Gonzaga, among others, in which the fire of Latin America can be felt in every performance.
