Lagos Fashion Week 2026 begins today, 28 October, bringing designers, buyers, fashion editors and creatives together in Lagos for five days of runway shows, industry sessions and offsite presentations. Organised by Style House Files, this year’s edition explores African craftsmanship, contemporary design and more responsible ways to make and use clothing. The theme is CRAFTED: Heritage. Innovation. Circular Futures.
When and Where Is Lagos Fashion Week 2026?
The event runs from Wednesday, 28 October, to Sunday, 1 November 2026. The main venue is the LagosFW Tents at the Federal Palace Hotel on Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The opening day includes industry sessions, presentations and the welcome party. The main runway programme runs from 29 to 31 October, followed by offsite shows at selected locations across Lagos on 1 November. Check the official schedule and access requirements before attending individual presentations.

Which Designers Should You Look Out For?
This season brings together established names and designers with distinct approaches to African fashion. The published programme includes Orange Culture, Emmy Kasbit, Christie Brown, Nkwo, Abiola Olusola, Désirée Iyama, Fruché, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Andrea Iyamah, Lisa Folawiyo and IAMISIGO, among others. Each offers a different perspective on clothing, from textile craft and contemporary tailoring to distinctive prints and experimental design.
The CRAFTED theme also puts the process of making in focus. Traditional textiles, handwork, material choices and new production methods all form part of the wider discussion about the future of African fashion.
What Should You Wear to Lagos Fashion Week?
Street style is part of the experience, but there is no single way to dress for the week. Consider wearing something that reflects your personal style while allowing you to move comfortably between shows, presentations and meetings.
- Try a strong silhouette. A well-cut jacket, a sculptural dress or relaxed tailoring can make a clear statement without requiring too many accessories.
- Wear African textiles your way. Adire, Aso-Oke and other locally made fabrics offer plenty of options, whether you prefer a full look or a single piece.
- Choose breathable fabrics. Lightweight cotton, linen and other comfortable materials are practical choices for a busy day in Lagos.
- Make accessories count. Jewellery, a distinctive bag, sunglasses or carefully chosen shoes can give a simple outfit more character.
- Think about your footwear. You may spend time standing, walking or moving between venues, so choose shoes that work for the full day.
- Dress for your schedule. A daytime industry session may call for a different look from an evening runway show or party. Check your invitations and plan accordingly.
Most importantly, wear something you feel comfortable in. Fashion Week is an opportunity to express yourself, meet people and discover new work. Your outfit should support that experience, not make it harder.
Beyond the Runway
Lagos Fashion Week is also a meeting point for the business and creative sides of the industry. Fashion business sessions, retail experiences and other presentations give attendees opportunities to learn about the work behind the collections. The programme also reflects a growing interest in material reuse and more responsible production.
With Heineken as title sponsor and NIVEA, Africa Finance Corporation and Lush Hair among its partners, the 2026 edition brings together fashion, business and creative exchange under one programme.
From today until 1 November, Lagos will offer plenty to see both on and beyond the runway. Check the schedule, plan your outfits and make time to discover designers whose work deserves a closer look.
