High-end brand Moschino has announced the appointment of 51-year old Argentine, Adrian Appiolaza as its new creative director. This is following the sudden death of his Italian predecessor, Davide Renne who kicked the bucket only 10 days after taking on the role.   The executive chairman of Moschino’s owner Aeffe Group, Massimo Ferretti, said in a statement: “Adrian brings with him a unique wealth of experience, creativity, and knowledge of the history of fashion that will be instrumental to write a wonderful new chapter in the adventure of the brand founded by Franco Moschino.”

Appiolaza added: “I am deeply grateful to Massimo Ferretti for allowing me to access the world of Moschino as well as entry into a house whose walls exude a history that I am eager to hear. I am ready to transport the maison into a new chapter, with a theatrical touch, in the pure style of Moschino.”

It’s definitely hiring season in the fashion and beauty industry as Armani Beauty announces a new global brand president. The previous executive, Véronique Gautier has left the position having led the brand for a solid 13 years, bringing her total years of experience in the beauty industry to 25 years. Véronique wrote in a LinkedIn post; “I feel privileged to have driven such iconic brands and talented people in executive functions in the luxury business, and today I am looking forward to this exciting chapter ahead, saying Sì to new beginnings!” 

Louis Vuitton Introduces LV Diamonds Line With Mine-to-finger Traceability.

Luxury fashion brand Louis Vuitton has added a new sparkle to its jewelry collection with the launch of the new LV Diamonds Line in Paris. The new jewelry pieces come with digital certificates that trace the journey of the diamond from the mine to the buyer’s finger. The certificate includes detailed information on every step the precious stone has gone through, from its extraction, to where it was sorted, polished and set.
