EQUINOX: FAB L’Style Brings Vienna Together for an Evening of Art

EQUINOX exhibition opening hosted by FAB L'Style at e15 gallery, Vienna

On 1 October, FAB L’Style hosted the opening of EQUINOX at Vienna’s e15 gallery, welcoming around 100 invited guests from the city’s art, fashion, music and creative communities.

The private opening marked the beginning of a three-week exhibition featuring three artists whose individual practices explore themes of identity, change and the human experience.

Taking its name from the moment when day and night reach a point of balance, EQUINOX reflects the transition between seasons and the shifting states we experience within ourselves. Opening shortly after the autumn equinox, the exhibition arrives as Vienna’s creative scene begins moving indoors, making the gallery a fitting setting for an evening of art and exchange.

Three Artists, Different Perspectives

At the centre of EQUINOX are three distinct artistic voices, each approaching the exhibition’s wider themes through their own experiences and visual language.

Venus explores identity, vulnerability and the more difficult parts of the human experience through deeply personal paintings. Her work combines distorted figures, layered abstraction and recurring shades of red to express emotions that are often difficult to put into words. For Venus, painting is a way of understanding herself rather than creating something for an audience. Her featured work, The Exodus of the Light, reflects on losing direction and the possibility of finding transformation through uncertainty.

Ola Badiru, a Nigerian multidisciplinary artist, began his creative journey in fashion through the streetwear brand Vivendii before expanding into visual art. Influenced by his upbringing between Nigeria and London, his work examines cultural identity, societal structures and contemporary life. His growing presence in the art world has seen him exhibit in Paris and collaborate with brands such as Axel Arigato, bringing his perspective to audiences across fashion and contemporary art.

Javier A. Greschitz De La Cruz explores the relationship between imagery, identity and the meanings we attach to the world around us. His paintings move between human figures, animals and floral subjects, drawing on themes of vulnerability, aggression and cultural symbolism. Rather than following a single narrative, his works reflect different stages of his

artistic practice, allowing contrasting ideas to exist alongside one another. Through expressive figures, layered compositions and a distinctive approach to representation, Javier invites viewers to question how we interpret images and the emotions they carry.

Together, the three artists offer different perspectives on transformation, creating a dialogue between personal experiences and broader cultural questions.

An Evening of Art, Music and Community

Beyond introducing the exhibition, the opening night brought together different corners of Vienna’s creative scene.

From artists and designers to musicians, cultural figures and friends of FAB L’Style, the invitation-only gathering offered an opportunity to reconnect, discover new work and meet people across disciplines.

Throughout the evening, guests moved between the artworks and conversations, with the gallery providing a setting that felt both intimate and social.

For FAB L’Style, whose work extends beyond publishing into cultural programming and creative collaborations, the evening was another opportunity to bring its community together in a physical space.

The opening also reflected the magazine’s interest in the relationship between different creative disciplines, particularly the increasingly fluid boundaries between fashion, music and contemporary art.

The Partners Behind EQUINOX

The opening night was supported by NOAM and Lemon Sour, who contributed to the evening’s drinks offering.

NOAM provided its premium beer, while Lemon Sour brought its signature drink to the gallery, adding to the relaxed and social atmosphere of the gathering.

Studio Samanyada joined as cultural partner, contributing to the programming and curatorial strategy of the opening night.

Together, the partners helped create an experience that brought art, hospitality and Vienna’s creative community together under one roof.

EQUINOX Continues Until 22 October

While the opening night marked the first gathering around EQUINOX, the exhibition remains on view at e15 gallery until 22 October 2026.

Visitors have the opportunity to spend more time with the works and explore the individual perspectives behind the exhibition.

FAB L’Style will continue its coverage with a dedicated editorial feature taking a closer look at the three artists, their creative practices and the ideas behind the works presented.
