At the age of 16, Vlad Dobre came to Vienna on his own and decided to pursue photography as a career. He was born and raised in Bucharest before moving to Vienna as a teenager. This is the story of Vlad Dobre, an artist who has been creating some of the most mind-blowing artworks on the planet since he was a teenager. And to commemorate this milestone, he presented his first exhibition last weekend, titled “(fast) Nichts.”
The exhibition “(fast) Nichts an” is a collection of previously unpublished photographs that he has been working on for the past year.”It is about the desire to experience something more than the ordinary,” Vlad says. “The shots represent unique moments, being stripped down of clothes, thoughts, and strings to become more connected with all that is eternal, groundless, and eternal.”
Not only did Vlad Dobre host an art exhibition, but he also pulled together the cream of the crop in Vienna’s arts and entertainment scene under one roof—including musicians, actresses, and fashion influences. It was definitely a lovely evening. Vlad Dobre himself had declared, “As beautiful and progressive as Vienna is, I fell in love with photography, fashion, and art in every form. I have already shot covers for Vanguardist, worked with magazines like Fabl’style and Pashion and had publications in Vogue.”
The exhibition, which was held at the Vernissage on Friday, February 3, 2023, in a spectacular atmosphere of music, champagne, and the choicest food, has truly carved a beautiful spot for itself in historical canvases. The official afterparty was held at Pratersauna with Anna Ullrich, and a second floor was hosted by Ivy Room.
We discovered that this is simply the tip of the iceberg, as the exhibition continues on Saturday, March 4, 2023, from 13:00 p.m. to 18:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 5, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 13:00 p.m. at the Navas Galleries (Schulgasse 40, 1180, Vienna).
