Saint Laurent Set to Co-produce and Costume Upcoming Jacques Audiard Movie

Luxury meets cinema as Saint Laurent is set to co-produce and design costumes for Jacques Audiard's upcoming film, promising a visually stunning experience.

Kering-owned fashion house Saint Laurent Productions is set to coproduce French director Jacques Audiard’s next film, “Emilia Perez.” Audiard, who won the Palme d’Or at Cannes with “Dheepan” in 2015, came into the limelight for his Oscar-nominated film, “A Prophet.”

The “melodrama musical” stars up-and-coming Argentinian trans actor Karla Sofía Gascón, who plays the role of a Mexican cartel leader. The movie will be co-produced with French production company Why Not Productions (Page 114) and distributed by Pathé.

Saint Laurent Productions has described the film’s narrative as “unconventional” and announced that Emilia-Perez would feature music by Clément Ducol and French singer Camille. The brand prides itself on being the first to establish a subsidiary to produce films, rather than just dressing its stars.
