Marina Hoermanseder’s AW 24/25 collection marks a brilliant return and transforms the catwalk into an impressive fashion spectacle. After a four-year break, the designer is finally presenting a new collection from her couture label. Here she reflects on the past few years, which were marked by restrictions and social changes and almost sank into colorlessness. Hoermanseder recognized that rediscovering our childhood origins can lead us to real emotion and joy. This creates a real emotional circus with a wide range of emotions, ranging from enthusiasm to sadness.

Marina Hoermanseder’s fashion should be more than just clothing and trends. She remains true to her individual vision: the designs are entertaining, evoke emotions and create special moments. The motto “More is more” is reflected in the collection, which is characterized by unusual shapes, vibrant colors and the contrasting combination of materials and textures. A refreshing perspective emerges that symbolizes the renaissance of the brand’s creative spirit.

The new collection invites you to experience virtuoso circus flair and enter a treasure trove full of curiosities. A jump into the hustle and bustle, winning a “Care Bear”, a look into a hall of mirrors where things begin to lose their original shape. Oversized hearts and inflated dresses appear in the stage lights. The boundaries between reality and fantasy are blurring. What is real and what is not? The surrealistic, heart-shaped vase stands out as a central piece in Marina Hoermanseder’s collection. The precisely handcrafted, huge dress impresses with its extraordinary shape and shiny surface.

Another highlight is the leather “Venus Vase”, inspired by the Austrian archaeological find, the iconic Venus of Willendorf. A figurine that symbolizes size inclusion and encourages a reassessment of widespread beauty ideals. Marina Hoeremanseder is breaking new ground with the introduction of sculptural and handmade menswear. She challenges stereotypical images of society with oversized hearts and pink bows, skilfully combines elements that are read as female with those that are read as male, and thus creates a space beyond gender-specific norms. Plush, tulle and glitter blend seamlessly with Care Bears (collaborator), faux fur, velvet and printed fabric to create a story that transcends fashion conventions. In interesting shapes and with great attention to detail, Marina Hoermanseder presents more buckles and more leather than ever before, which means that Marina Hoermanseder remains true to the signature of her label.

Craftsmanship is deeply anchored in the brand’s DNA. The buckles are hand-punched in Berlin and edge-painted with great care. The label specializes in Cuir bouilli, a centuries-old craft technique in which the two-dimensional leather is softened by water and later arranged into new three-dimensional shapes. This technology, which is also deeply rooted in orthopedics, was brought into the world of high fashion by Marina Hoermanseder. Working with local orthopedic specialists and experts in the field, the brand is committed to keeping the craft alive while being open to innovative technologies to optimize procedures.

In Marina Hoermanseder’s AW24/25 collection, a variety of materials come together and tell a story of limitless creativity and self-expression – fashion that is fun and crosses boundaries.
