MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS will debut as part of Milano Fashion Week FW24

MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS will premiere as part of Milano Fashion Week FW 24

YOSHIKI’s upcoming fashion brand MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS has been selected by Camera Nazionale Della Moda Italiana as part of the official calendar for Milano Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2024/2025 in the major Fashion Events section. The show will take place on February 20th at 8:30pm at Bocconi University, a major cultural, artistic and fashion center in Milan which won the World Building of the Year architectural prize and has hosted major events for Gucci, Max Mara, and Versace.

YOSHIKI’s cutting-edge line – announced at a press conference in Paris last year – is the latest move in the world of high fashion by the iconic musician, designer, and filmmaker.

MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS will fuse YOSHIKI’s visions of fashion, design, and lifestyle with RTW glamorous and genderless designs. The line is expected to debut with over 30 looks.

YOSHIKI stated, “It’s going to be a feminine but also genderless collection, flamboyant with a rebellious touch, which has always been important to me. All the natural and eco-responsible materials are sourced from Italy and France.”

In addition to fashion development, MAISON YOSHIKI will launch a luxury glassware collection in collaboration with French crystal maker Baccarat. YOSHIKI’s design talent was recognized when he was selected as one of the designers to commemorate Baccarat’s 180th anniversary in 2021.This project also stems from YOSHIKI’s creation of Y by YOSHIKI wine with the Mondavi family in Napa, California, and the establishment of YOSHIKI’s own premiere Champagne brand with renowned French house POMMERY.

YOSHIKI was born the eldest son of kimono creators and created Yoshikimono in 2009 as a fusion of tradition and innovation. Yoshikimono was chosen to be displayed at the prestigious V&A Museum in London and at the Musée du Quai Branly – Jacques Chirac in Paris alongside works from other prominent fashion designers Alexander McQueen, Yves Saint Laurent, Jean-Paul Gaultier, and John Galliano. YOSHIKIMONO has headlined Tokyo Fashion Week multiple times since 2015, and he is the first Japanese male to be featured on the cover of Vogue Japan.

YOSHIKI has appointed veteran press officer and longtime friend Kuki de Salvertes as fashion development director of MAISON YOSHIKI PARIS. De Salvertes discovered many of today’s famous designers, such as Vivienne Westwood, Raf Simons, Iris van Herpen, and Jeremy Scott.
