Not only is Black Panther one of the most successful movies of this year (I know we still got some time ahead, but seriously, that is already set in stone) and given African and African-American actors roles and a platform they have been denied for over centuries, the movie also brought attention to the masterpieces of African fashion design. More specifically, the designs of Nigerian fashion label Ikiré Jones. Their designs have been used for the film. Ikiré Jones’ latest collection “Look at God” is inspired by the movie and the different shapes beauty comes in.
Ikiré Jones was found by Wale Oyejide and Sam Hubler dedicated to celebrating individuality and diversity.
