The Milan Fashion Week took a daring turn as Han Kjøbenhavn unveiled its SS24 pret-á-portier collection, titled “Unlightened Particles,” in a spectacular showcase at the esteemed
Palazzo Reale di Milano, The Royal Palace of Milan. The Danish fashion house merged artistry with a fusion of sculptural shapes, bespoke metal elements, and a groundbreaking collaboration with Sinful, Scandinavia’s premier platform for erotic accessories.
Artistic Director Jannik Wikkelsø Davidsen painted a metaphorical canvas with the collection, emphasizing the concept of undiscovered potential within the realms of fashion and human essence. “Unlightened Particles” symbolizes the unexplored and latent capabilities present within individuals or creations—a narrative of enlightenment and the quest to unravel hidden depths.
Known for their signature amalgamation of exquisite craftsmanship and raw metallic aesthetics, Han Kjøbenhavn showcased handcrafted metal elements in a raw and unrefined manner. These elements manifested as assertive shoulders embellishing suiting and shirts while seamlessly transitioning into chunky leather boots adorned with metal spikes. The collection predominantly featured memory leather, crepe wool, neoprene, and draped mesh, all elegantly harmonizing within a subdued color palette.
