At Berlin Fashion Week, MAJÈRE, in collaboration with the queer-feminist production label Vproud.uction, presents their latest collection “UNZUCHT” SS25 at the historic Stadtbad Oderberger. Stay up to date on the latest in fashion, arts, beauty, and lifestyle by following FAB L’Style Magazine.
The collection draws its inspiration from Bosch’s painting “The Garden of Earthly
Delights.” This work depicts humanity’s inclination towards sin and its consequences in the afterlife. Through the three panels – Garden of Eden, Garden of Earthly Delights, and Hell – Bosch visualizes the allure and transience of worldly pleasures as well as the resulting punishments in the afterlife. The painting serves as a moral warning against the temptation of sensual pleasures and the inevitable consequences of sin.
Under the creative direction of Alawi Harris, Anaïs Fabricius, and Luis Steigleder, MAJÈRE reinterprets the essence of the painting in their latest collection by exploring creation, disillusionment, and temptation, questioning religious beliefs and societal norms. The use of natural materials from surplus stocks and second-hand finds conveys the symbiosis between humans, animals, and nature.
“Our brand MAJÈRE strives to create more than just clothing; we aim to create an emotional journey for our customers,” explains the founder of MAJÈRE, Anaïs. “Through the deliberate use of textures and contrasts, we aim to capture and convey emotions while reflecting the beauty and complexity of nature and the human spirit,” says designer Anaïs.
