A different runway this time. Models walking to the beat, underneath organic forms of pleated spirals floating from the ceiling of the catwalk, with playful lights striking on the pieces creating unified shadows with the installation. It’s the Tony Monday Ward Couture Spring Summer 2024 Fashion Show during Paris Haute Couture Week in the prestigious Palais de Tokyo.
Striking shapes intersecting the divine allures from the bust to the bottom complementing the organic spirals, innovative three-dimensional savoire-faire mixing an intriguing work of fabrics, fitted dresses for the silhouette but also statement volumes for the drama, dancing beads moving with the spotlights shimmering the venue, theatrical capes, subtle yet daring sheerness, high-slits to mark the entrance, flattering corsets hugging the waist, flowy materials filling the catwalk, asymmetrical sides contrasting the piece by itself…yet embracing it.
Foils of gold sparkles, striking green, deep lavender, the prominent “rouge”; But how can the organic and sharp geometry meet?
Celebrities, fashion gurus, stylists, clients, key media people and photographers were rushing on their first day of Couture Week to witness it; Hannah Waddingham marked a beautiful appearance alongside Heart Evangelista, Amina Khalil, Dima Kandalaft, Thássia Naves, Gessica Kayane… and many more lovely people filled up the front rows and the venue.
It all came to life under one proportion, one Golden Ratio unifying the pieces created intricately by the hands of the Ateliers; it took them months, countless days and endless hours to base these very different shapes under one timeless equation.
The details of the pieces are dissimilar, yet they are the identical.
You & I are the same.
