On February 8th, Lisa Deurer, designer and founder of the fashion label LD-13, will showcase her collection for the first time in her home country. After presentations at Paris and New York Fashion Week, LD-13 announces a runway show at STATION Berlin for Berlin Fashion Week.
The label, founded and based in New York in 2021, stands for season-independent women’s and unisex collections and impresses with visionary design and holistic details. Designer Lisa Deurer, who graduated from the renowned Parsons School of Design (NY), questions existing structures and places art and craftsmanship at the center of her work. This results in creations inspired by global communities, yet aiming to evoke the feeling of individual uniqueness. In the eyes of the designer, individuality should unite rather than separate. “By adopting a different perspective, we broaden our sense of diversity and uniqueness,” says Lisa Deurer.
LD-13 impressively demonstrates how sustainability and conscious consumption fit into the society of tomorrow: together with Isabella Rossellini, Marie Minnich (a farmer and board member of The Livestock Conservancy), and Jacob Oblong (CEO of American Woolen), Lisa Deurer has developed a farm-to-fashion system that aims to revive local and independent supply chains in the US while protecting material biodiversity. At LD-13, urban relevance meets ecological respect. The brand believes in quality over quantity – MORE FROM LESS – and yet creates an experience that combines luxury and art – EXTRAORDINARY ORDINARY.
Under the title WARDROBE CHESS, the label continues its distinctive design language with tailored details and complex cuts. “You will see shapes, prints, and materials that everyone has probably seen before in other contexts. They are being brought to the runway to stimulate forward-thinking perspectives,” the designer announces her upcoming collection, which will be presented for the first time in her home country. As part of the upcoming Berlin Fashion Week, the LD-13 runway show will take place on February 8th at 2:30 p.m. at STATION Berlin (by invitation only).
