Our hands are frail, still we shall write. From the pile of wisdom and knowledge behind these dimmed eyes, we will speak. In these words, you will not find THE ANSWER to the puzzle called “woman.” There is not an ultimate answer, but here you will find words to guide you through your time. Time changes but is the same still, for WOMAN.
Dear Young Woman,
You have probably heard it a thousand times: how special and strong your being is, but each time your heart flutters, you question your identity, you loathe your kind heart, and you doubt your strength. No, “continue to be who and how you are, to astonish a mean world with acts of kindness. Continue to allow humour to lighten the burden of your tender heart.” There are no limits to the dimensions of you; the bounds of your beauty are endless.
Forgive the World
Forgive the world. Learn to forgive before you’re slighted. “It’s one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself—to forgive. Forgive everybody”. We’ve lived what we thought was the worst of times, and we fought to straighten the path for you. The principles of the world don’t change as much. Still to come are your own trials and tests. Forgive. For by forgiveness, you shall set yourself free. Choose Happiness.
Beauty is not vanity
Beauty is not vanity. “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence. It is self-preservation, and that is an act of political warfare.” Dote on yourself. The world does not get a say in how much you care for yourself. Beauty is not the absence of sublimity. Your beauty is a weapon.
Have enough courage to trust
Let the love in your heart defy the heights and bounds. “Have enough courage to trust love one more time and always one more time.” “You may encounter many defeats, but you must not be defeated. In fact, it may be necessary to encounter the defeats so you can know who you are, what you can rise from, and how you can still come out of them.”
Dear woman, all soft and loving, embrace the strength and wrath within you. Be the wind in the storm, the fire in a raging inferno, and the calm on a bright spring morning. Be weak and feeble—but not for long. Today you’re sixteen; tomorrow you’re forty. A blink, and you are eighty. There’s so much to do in a limited space of time. How possible is this without accepting all parts of you?
Dear custodian of culture, today we celebrate WOMEN. Remember these words. When it’s time to pass it down, we hope that it was laden with your wise words. Stay up to date on the newest in the world of Fashion, Arts, Beauty and Lifestyle; Follow FAB on Instagram.
