The undeniable beauty of summer is not reduced by its yearly reemergence. Yearly, we look forward to the bright, sunny season of pleasure and endless fun. Sun, beaches, raves, swimming, travelling, content creation—those are the ringing lyrics of summer. However, we don’t all get to enjoy, without caution or precautions, the gazillion options of activities for summer. Limitations are a part of life; they are the not-so-invisible elephants in the room that we have to deal with.
Oh, I love nature. One of my favourite things to do, which also happens to double as a dreaded activity, is take walks in nature, for I never can tell when “the itch” will get triggered. Too often than I would like, the joys of my nature walk come to a rather agonising end of body itch. True, a dose of antihistamine comes to the rescue, but not before I scratch a little. Albeit unpleasant, this is a manageable condition, but it is also one of many limitations people experience. The question is: how do we prevent a summer disaster?
How to Prevent a Summer Disaster?
How is summer for you? Nothing sucks like being unable to participate in your favourite summer activity due to physical and emotional shortcomings. Summer is for everyone, and I would love for you to have a yearly summer of your life because you deserve it. Like everyone else, we can’t be totally carefree. Here are some tips to manage your limitations.
Allergy Management
If you have identified your allergy symptoms and triggers, the next step is to find a way to live with them. With proper management, you can have an uneventful summer. Stay away from triggers and keep your medication on you at all times.
Prescription Refill
Put a pause on your summer vacation plans and head to the drug store for your prescription refill. Since it is quite easy to forget such things, always set reminders on your calendar. You might be travelling to a region where your insurance might be null. Get a refill before you leave.
Alternative Fun
Do well to only engage in summer activities that are safe and appropriate for you. If not a walk in nature, perhaps a swim or a drive. Certain activities can trigger symptoms. It is better to engage in a different but equally fun alternative. Stay up to date on the latest in fashion, arts, beauty, and lifestyle by following FAB L’Style Magazine.
Check with the Doctor
You must verify with your physician if it’s safe to travel or participate in certain activities this summer. Your doctor might be able to provide measures to keep you safe and healthy through the summer as you try to go beyond your limits. Listen to your doctor.
