Due to current internal restructuring, Roman fashion house Fendi has revealed their decision not to participate in the Paris Couture Week set to take place from June 24 to 27.
“As part of a rescheduling of its shows, Fendi will not be present this year for haute couture in Paris,” the Roman house declared in a statement, without further explanations.
This decision is presumed to have been a collaborative one made by Kim Jones, Fendi’s artistic director of couture and womenswear collections; Silvia Venturini Fendi, artistic director of accessories and menswear collections; and Delfina Delettrez Fendi, jewellery creative director, who are all actively involved in couture collections.
Louis Vuitton Releases Capsule Collection for America’s Cup Sailing Race
French luxury brand Louis Vuitton has launched a capsule collection for women and men ahead of its biggest sailing event, the Louis Vuitton 37th America’s Cup Barcelona.
The sporty line, which will be ready for purchase on July 18, includes ready-to-wear, bags, and accessories.
The looks are divided into three themes: “Riding the Waves,” which features technical pieces such as windbreakers and comes in red, white, and blue check patterns; “Elegant Summer Evening,” which is perfect to wear for dressier functions and features items like plain black or white jersey crepe column dresses; “A Day on the Deck,” which comes in the colours of maritime signal flags; and Elegant Summer Evening. Accessories include the Sailor sling bag, the Float wearable wallet, and baseball caps.
It is worthy to note that the brand has been a sponsor of the America’s Cup since 1983. Hence, returning this year as a title partner of the event, in addition to organising the qualifying stages (the Louis Vuitton Cup), is admirable.
