ELYSIUM is an eco-innovative fashion collection that values and transforms waste into conscious fashion garments and accessories. Featuring jackets, dresses, outerwear, and statement pieces crafted from reclaimed rubber, bio-materials derived from nuts, and deadstock fabrics, ELYSIUM blends rugged industrial elements with sleek, modern silhouettes to create a striking, forward-thinking, Chany Maria design aesthetic.
Eco-Innovative Fashion – The ELYSIUM Vision
The name ELYSIUM, rooted in Greek mythology, symbolizes a realm of perfect happiness and transformation. Traditionally a place set apart from the underworld for the worthy, it serves as a metaphor for this collection. Just as heroes were granted passage to this utopia, the waste materials Maria Chany uses are granted new life—giving discarded items an afterlife. The garments are crafted from carefully selected waste materials, thoughtfully reimagined and elevated into pieces of wearable art.
ELYSIUM is more than just upcycling—it transcends conventional boundaries, giving discarded materials like worn-out car tires and scraps a bold new life as dresses, corsets, belts, and striking fashion statements. It blends the past with the future and shows how sustainability and creativity can coexist harmoniously. Never miss a beat in fashion, arts, beauty, and lifestyle, follow FAB L’Style Magazine.

Our Event Location “The Mall of Berlin Recycling”: A Sustainable Stage for Fashion
Our location stands as a remarkable example of sustainable construction, making it the perfect venue for our fashion show. Originally a parking structure housing waste collection trucks, this event space has been thoughtfully repurposed to retain its original outer walls and steel framework, reducing material use. The venue includes sustainable wood frames for the walls, insulated with recycled paper and wood-wool, also known as “Sauerkrautplatten”, which functions as acoustic panels, offering excellent soundproofing.
The building is equipped with a geothermal heating setup and solar panels with integrated battery storage, drastically reducing CO2 emissions and ensuring a reliable supply of clean energy. By hosting our event at the Mall of BR, we’re not just showcasing fashion—we’re promoting awareness and immersing our guests in the very heart of where our waste is managed, reminding us of the importance of minimizing and sorting waste in everyday life.
It also serves as a reminder of the often-undermined work of the collectors, respecting the important role they play in keeping our communities clean and contributing to a healthier environment. Through this show in their venue, we honour their vital work, aligning with our commitment to circularity. We believe a united industry is key to achieving sustainability across environmental, social, and cultural dimensions.
