It’s always fun to add a contemporary edge to long-standing traditions, especially those that have been around for centuries. This one is for the Gen-Z.

There are a number of interesting stories about the origin of Easter baskets. There is a tale of German origin that says a bunny comes around overnight to leave a basket filled with coloured eggs for the obedient and well-behaved children.
It is also said to be a long-standing tradition of the Catholic Church to take these baskets to church filled with eggs, meat, and dairy products that were denied to the body during the period of the fast to be blessed by the priest.
The whole basket is a symbol of feasting, celebration, and new life. The Easter season is a peculiar time commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus. It is also the start of spring, a new season, and a new beginning. In the spirit of newness and bliss of spring, both religious and non-religious folks partake in the basket’s tradition.
