Nicki Minaj Launches Press-on Nails Brand

On today’s episode of artists going on to become business moguls, iconic singer Nicki Minaj has launched her press-on nail enterprise. The brand is a collaboration between the singer and her personal nail artist, Yvett Garcia, who designed the false nail sets.

With a price range of $20–$25, according to Nicki Minaj, the brand aims to bridge the gap between cheaper, lower-quality brands and low-quality press-on nails sold for outrageous prices. 

“When I became a mom, I couldn’t spend as much time getting my nails done as when I only had to worry about me, so it became a necessity to create fly, quality press-on nails. I told my team when we started Pink Friday Nails that if I don’t want to wear them, I’m not going to even attempt to sell them because our customers aren’t  stupid,” Nicki Minaj remarked. 

H&M Partners With Rokh For Latest Designer Collaboration 

Swedish fashion retailer H&M is partnering with up-and-coming brand Rokh for its latest designer collaboration. Launching on April 18, the collection will feature Rokh’s signature fits, including double-layer trench coats, detachable-hem dresses, corset-style pieces, corporate-inspired handbags, detachable-hem dresses, and statement jewellery. 

In a statement by Ann-Sofie Johansson, creative advisor and head of design womenswear at H&M, she remarked, “Rokh is at the forefront of a new wave of Korean designers whose conceptual-yet-wearable clothes are captivating fashion right now. We are proud to present a curated edit of designer Rok Hwang’s adaptable wardrobe classics, and we can’t wait to see how our customers wear them.”

Rok Hwang, creative director at Rokh, also commented, “Rokh designs have a classic appearance with a radical construction for a timeless approach to design. I’m very excited to share our vision with more customers around the world thanks to this milestone collection with H&M.”

Gucci Set to Unveil Design Ancora During Milan Design Week

Luxury fashion house Gucci is set to release Design Ancora during the Milan Design Week, which will be held from April 15th to April 21st. The aim of Design Ancora is for Gucci’s creative director, Sabato De Sarno, to showcase the intersection of the solid legacies of icons and masters in the design industry. Stay up to date on the newest in the world of Fashion, Arts, Beauty and Lifestyle; Follow FAB on Instagram.

The project will feature five objects from a past era that symbolise “Italianity,”  especially “Milananness,”  with the goal of representing contemporaneity through the interpretation of their iconicity, Gucci said in a press release.

Architect Guillermo Santoma will contribute his international prowess by designing the space to showcase the products, which will be put on sale on Gucci’s website after the presentation.

Ace & Tate and Ahluwalia Launch Collaboration Collection 

Dutch eyewear company Ace & Tate has launched a partnership with London-based fashion house Ahluwalia.

The collaboration, which was first unveiled amid the backdrop of Ahluwalia’s Spring Summer 2024 Runway, features a range of sunglasses that draw inspiration from underrepresented and often overlooked diasporic artists. 

Ahluwalia, in a statement, said, “For this venture, I infused our signature aesthetic, experimenting with layered prints and textured acetate to craft a visually captivating tapestry. The journey from conception to production has been both stimulating and enjoyable, and I eagerly anticipate witnessing individuals adorn themselves with our sunglasses.”


Head of Design at Ace & Tate, Torunn Gullaksen, also remarked, “We fell in love with the patterns Priya designed for her collection, and we jazzed up our Mirko and Niku frames with these patterns. As the chef’s kiss on the collection, we added a bold, solid metal block ‘A’ logo. We are really excited and proud to launch this collaboration with Ahluwalia.”
